Firehouse Subs

Ever since Firehouse Subs opened in the town where my hubby works, we've eaten there a few times. Although until a couple of days ago, it had been a few months since we visited.  So we took our kids out for supper there. We thought our boys (ages 2 years & 3 years) would love the fire department theme! Of course they did!! We enjoy it too, my hubby is a volunteer firefighter, my dad was the firechief of the same volunteer fire departement for years, my hubby's father was a firefighter and my sister's husband is also a fireman. So, we really LOVE that this restaurant was founded by firemen and it helps firemen. They also give a discount to firefighters. Right now kids eat free there on Mondays and Wednesdays. It happened to be a Monday when we went, although we didn't know about the kids promotion. This was a great deal for us!! (It was blog worthy, as I told the hubby!)

This is what we got....
*2 adult combos
$5.69+$2.19=$7.88
$5.49+$2.19=$7.68
(6 inch sub, chips and drink)
*2 kids combos
$3.69 each
(grilled cheese, small pack of oreos, drink & a firemans hat)

Total Before discount....$24.15

My hubby recieved a fireman's discount....$2.19
(This is the cost of the chips & drink.)
Our kids meals were free.......$3.69 each

Total discount.......$9.57

Our total OOP.....$14.58

If you average that out for a family of four that is $3.66 each!!

That is a great deal for eatting out and helping a good cause at the same time!!!
